The history of this farmhouse would begin in the 1870's which at that time was not a farmhouse but a small village with all the necessary businesses for the time, with a bar, a grocery store, a blacksmith but also a church and the dwellings, this small village had about 250 small farmers. We can estimate the total number of residents between 300 and 350 people for the proper functioning of this community.
We enter by the main entrance where after the opening of the gate we have to pass between two buildings to discover a small square with a building on the left which is nothing but a garage with 2 red doors. We continue to move on the right along a building in the shape of L which makes us think of the place of residence of the workers of this farm. We can see that Edo is always looking for perfection with multiple details that make the charm of the map.
We arrived in the main alley of the farm. On our left there is still the "dormitory" building but on the right we discover a sublime storage building built in marble and bricks. You will be able to store everything you can think of, whether it is vehicles, tools, but also boots, pallets thanks to the floor that we discover at the bottom of the building.
We continue our walk to arrive on an old building that served as a two-story barn and grain silo but also in the back of the building as a pigsty. Edo has succeeded in modelling the building and adapting it for the game so that it has the same functionality, grain silo and pigsty, but also as a tool store. At the back of the building you can see the pasture of the pigsty.
We continue our little tour and arrive at the barn. Edo and SMI Modding explain that this barn was originally a pigsty, but to improve the gameplay, it was decided to make it a stable. Yes, the building already existed, it was just modified a bit to make it more functional for the players. We also discover the vehicle repair shop.
The Cascina X farm will be named Cascina Dosso Vecchio. A sublime reproduction and adaptation of the farm of The Italian Farmer (Italian Youtuber on agricultural vlog) with some small surprises.
