Edo continues to develop these ideas for an authentic gameplay of his country, that's why we will discover on the Mappa fields in Agrivoltaics or Agri-photovoltaics.

What is Agrivoltaics or Agri-photovoltaics?


It is simply to associate a photovoltaic production (solar panels) with an agricultural production under the panels.


This implies finding the right crops that can support the sharing of light with the solar installation.


This system is being tested in many countries in Europe such as Italy, Germany, France or Austria but also in Asian countries.


In 2009 and 2011 Italian vineyards have been equipped with an Agrivoltaic system with fixed panels for experimentation. This installation is fixed at 4 to 5 meters from the ground so that machines and equipment can pass underneath to work the vineyards.



For several years, tests have been carried out with cereal crops on fields of several hectares.


A combine in Monticelli, Italy, works under a 3.23 MWp installation



Let's go back to Farming and the Mappa Italia


After many researches and for an innovative and real gameplay, Edo propose us a field with Agrivoltaic installations. This field costs about 600,000 euros to buy but you will have an income every day with the production of energy provided by the solar panels. For those who have played the Map Across France on FS 19, this field will work like the field 76 with the wind turbines.
